Release notes

Orbit is in private preview and nothing is sold yet. No version has been released, so this page has no history to show. It does not list earlier changes and it does not invent a version number.

This documentation A badge marks every feature that is in development or planned. A feature without a badge is built.

On the roadmap, In development means built and in final testing, and not yet open to everyone. Planned means designed and not started.

The rules for compatibility already apply to the API.

  • /api/v1 changes only by adding routes, optional request fields, response fields and error codes.
  • Removing or renaming something needs a new version of that route first.
  • Every error carries a stable code. A code stays the same when the wording changes.
  • The OpenAPI document at https://acme.orbit.inortix.com/api/v1/openapi.json lists the registered routes.

The product keeps a list of its routes, and tests check that list. The same tests check the typed error body of every route.

See the API reference and Error codes.

Prices and limits are the catalogue planned for launch and may change before launch. The pricing page shows the current catalogue. The limits reference lists the limits that apply to the hosted service.

If a price or a plan limit changes before launch, the pricing page and the limits reference change with it. Check them again when you plan a rollout.
